The studied TB-500 fragment is acetylated LKKTETQ, corresponding to thymosin beta-4 residues 17–23. Confirm sequence and modification instead of equating every TB-500 label with full-length thymosin beta-4.[1][2]
Identity and analytical evidence reviewed
The fragment paper describes detection in equine samples. A separate human eye-drop trial studied full-length thymosin beta-4. Analytical detection is not evidence of therapeutic benefit; findings for full-length ophthalmic thymosin beta-4 cannot validate a fragment sold under the same informal name.[1][3]
