Price per mg: compare peptide vial sizes and total cost

For the same identified compound and comparable physical form, price per mg is the product price divided by the labeled milligrams in the package. It helps compare package sizes. It does not measure quality, establish the amount a laboratory actually found, or replace the total amount you will spend.

A worked example, not a current vendor quote

Suppose one vial is labeled 10 mg and costs $20, and another is labeled 20 mg and costs $34. Their labeled unit costs are $2.00/mg and $1.70/mg. The larger package is cheaper per labeled milligram but requires $14 more product spend. Larger packages do not always have a lower unit cost; calculate both.

Match the denominator before dividing

• Single vial: use the amount labeled for that vial.
• Multi-vial package: record both the number of vials and the amount per vial before calculating total labeled mass.
• Solution: a concentration such as mg/mL is not the total amount in the bottle. Record the stated bottle volume as well; do not infer a missing concentration.
• Capsules: distinguish mg per capsule from capsule count. Keep the physical form visible instead of ranking it as a vial.
• Blends: preserve each component and its ratio. A combined mass does not make two different blends interchangeable.
• Products labeled only in units or mL: do not invent a conversion to milligrams.

Use the actual price basis

PeptideTech uses the displayed product price before shipping. A discount is included only when the offer explicitly records a verified code and discounted amount. A coupon name, referral URL, newsletter offer or proposed TECH10 code does not by itself change the calculation.

The cheapest product can have the higher delivered total

Here is a second hypothetical example in one currency: a $20 vial plus $9 delivery totals $29; a $24 vial with delivery included totals $24, before any tax or payment charge. A free-delivery threshold is an order condition, not a reason to buy additional material your project does not require.

Keep USD, EUR, GBP, CAD and AUD separate. If you convert them for your budget, write down the exchange rate, conversion date and any payment-provider fee. A converted estimate is different from the amount the seller charges in its own currency.

Labeled mass and measured content are separate

A supplier’s package label supplies the denominator for a listed price comparison. A quantitative laboratory result can assess the tested sample’s measured content. A chromatographic purity percentage is not a substitute for that quantity measurement. Read the test method and units before drawing a conclusion.

The earlier article said larger vials were almost always cheaper per mg and described all prices as after-code prices. Those generalizations were removed. The examples here are explicitly hypothetical, and discounts, product form and package quantity must be checked separately.
