Identity checks
The Selank compound record (PubChem CID 11765600) specifies the unacetylated peptide. N-acetyl Selank has a separate compound record (CID 133082488); the terminal modification is part of the chemical identity.[1][3]
Selank diacetate has a separate record (CID 155804769), and the reviewed rat experiment used a diacetate salt. An acetate counterion is different from covalent N-acetylation. Confirm the sequence, terminal modifications, salt and formulation before comparing a vial, spray or blend with a study material.[4][3][2]

The original experiment used male Wistar rats and measured expression of neurotransmission-related genes in the frontal cortex using real-time PCR.
