doses of Hexarelin used in research
Never approved; published human studies include 1.5 mcg/kg subcutaneously twice daily for 16 weeks in healthy elderly volunteers (partial, reversible attenuation of the GH response) and single 100 mcg intravenous tests. These are the amounts specific labels and studies used, linked to each source. They are references, not recommendations; a prescription label takes priority.

|---|---|---|---|
| 16-week study: 1.5 mcg/kg SC twice daily human pilot study · 1999 · 10341859 | healthy elderly volunteers | 1.5 mcg/kg twice daily 16 weeks Cortisol AUC after the morning injection fell by week 16 and returned to baseline 4 weeks after stopping; prolactin AUC, ACTH AUC and urinary free cortisol did not change. A companion report from the same group (PMID 10990150) on 16 weeks of twice-daily SC hexarelin in 12 healthy elderly individuals found GH AUC fell from 19.1 to 10.5 mcg/L/h and recovered after a 4-week break. | subcutaneous |
| 24-h secretion study: 1.5 mcg/kg SC two or three times daily human pilot study · 2002 · 11888836 | 6 normal young men | 1.5 mcg/kg two or three times daily 24 hours Two and three daily 1.5 mcg/kg injections raised 24-h GH equally by amplifying GH secretory burst mass without changing burst frequency, prolactin, ACTH or cortisol; IGF-I was unchanged over this 1-day schedule. | subcutaneous |
| Acute IV test: 100 mcg bolus human pilot study · 1996 · 8799695 | 10 men with type 1 diabetes and 7 normal men | 100 mcg single dose Fixed 100 mcg IV bolus given alone and combined with 100 mcg GHRH(1-29); hexarelin produced a significantly greater GH response than GHRH in both groups. | intravenous |

10 units on a U-100 syringe is 0.1 mL. Every cell is exact arithmetic: amount ÷ water.
what the numbers mean · where they come from
terms and sources
- Label amount or measured amount. The calculator starts from the amount printed on the vial. A lot certificate’s measured content (net peptide content, in mg) can replace it for the vial that was tested. HPLC purity is a share of peak area, not a mass, so a purity-only correction is shown as an estimate. See HPLC, certificate of analysis and how to read a peptide COA.
- Concentration. Amount in the vial ÷ water added. Terms: reconstitution, bacteriostatic water, lyophilized.
- Syringe units. A volume: 0.01 mL per unit on a U-100 syringe, 0.025 mL on U-40. Units say nothing about the compound until the concentration is known.
- Cost per draw. Vial price × amount per draw ÷ vial amount, from the price per mg of a current offer. Offers come from the Hexarelin price comparison; certificates from the COA library.
Arithmetic only, on the numbers entered. Amounts from labels or trials are cited references, not recommendations; PeptideTech does not give personal use instructions and does not test products.
