doses of IGF-1 DES used in research
No FDA or ex-US label and no registered or published human trial of des(1-3)IGF-I; the cited literature is rodent work and laboratory reviews, e.g. 0.96 mg/kg/day by osmotic pump in rats after gut resection (PMID 1996625). These are the amounts specific labels and studies used, linked to each source. They are references, not recommendations; a prescription label takes priority.

| Animal study (rats after gut resection): 0.96 mg/kg/day for 7 days animal study · 1991 · 1996625 | 170 g rats after resection of 80% of the jejunum plus ileum (animal study, not human) | 0.96 mg/kg per day by continuous osmotic-pump infusion 7 days Animal data only, reported exactly as published and not converted to any human-equivalent dose. Des-(1-3)IGF-I at 0.96 mg/kg/day and IGF-I at 2.4 mg/kg/day gave greater weight gain and more positive nitrogen balance than vehicle over the last 3 days. Delivery was by osmotic infusion pump; the abstract does not state the implantation site. | other |

10 units on a U-100 syringe is 0.1 mL. Every cell is exact arithmetic: amount ÷ water.
what the numbers mean · where they come from
terms and sources
- Label amount or measured amount. The calculator starts from the amount printed on the vial. A lot certificate’s measured content (net peptide content, in mg) can replace it for the vial that was tested. HPLC purity is a share of peak area, not a mass, so a purity-only correction is shown as an estimate. See HPLC, certificate of analysis and how to read a peptide COA.
- Concentration. Amount in the vial ÷ water added. Terms: reconstitution, bacteriostatic water, lyophilized.
- Syringe units. A volume: 0.01 mL per unit on a U-100 syringe, 0.025 mL on U-40. Units say nothing about the compound until the concentration is known.
- Cost per draw. Vial price × amount per draw ÷ vial amount, from the price per mg of a current offer. Offers come from the IGF-1 DES price comparison; certificates from the COA library.
Arithmetic only, on the numbers entered. Amounts from labels or trials are cited references, not recommendations; PeptideTech does not give personal use instructions and does not test products.
